Any leads yet? I'd wager it was most likely a disgruntled Trump supporter angry at the Republican Party establishment. Although, it could also have been a Clinton supporter - but I am less confident about that.

Why do I feel like it was a Trump supporter trying to make Democrats look bad?

The words "Nazi Republicans get out of town" was spray-painted on the side of the building.

That doesn't sound like something an actual disgruntled Clinton supporter would spray paint. It's too obvious.

"It's too obvious"?  This isn't a murder mystery novel.  I expect they mean what they said.

Whoever the attacker is, a universally denounceable act. This is exactly the kind of thing we're fighting to avoid.

With the rhetoric of so many Democrats on here and all across the country, this was bound to happen.  When you call other Americans Nazis and "deplorable", crazy people are going to get crazy ideas.

Unsurprisingly classy and totally non politicizing response, non-deplorable one. Your orange is showing.

This is in the second most Democratic county in the state and it includes parts of Durham and Chapel Hill Univerisity.

The tension in this country right now is horrifyingly high. I worry that this is only the beginning.

Politicizing response?  They bombed a Republican campaign office.  You can't get any more political than that.  It's all about politics.

Shame that Charlotte and the violence BLM stirred up there just weeks ago is also conveniently ignored. Really incredible mental gymnastics people go through to insist there are no violent left-wing extremists.

Yeah, at this point I highly doubt this is like some mystery novel. It was probably some hipster hooligan trying to show off for his friends.

Just another disgusting, disheartening chapter in this election cycle.  Election Day can't get here soon enough.
