"I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up," McCain said. "I promise you. This is where we need the majority and Pat Toomey is probably as articulate and effective on the floor of the Senate as anyone I have encountered."

Asked about the decision to un-endorse his party's nominee the day after a 2005 audiotape leaked to the Washington Post wherein Trump could be heard describing how he forces himself on women, McCain said, "It's not what he said, my friend, it's what he said he did."

"What he said he did," he continued. "I mean, bragging is one thing. I've been in a lot of locker rooms, my friend, and frankly I have not heard comments like that."

I think this may have saved him against a potential loss. Though it does reveal him as a scumbag who wants to keep the court at 8 members until a GOP President comes in. Schumer better end that filibuster soon

At this point, I think McCain looks much more like an ally of Obama and Clinton than an ally of Trump.

Once Clinton becomes President, everyone will get along fine again. It will be just like 2008 again, except with Obama, Clinton, and McCain being in one big family at last.

Does this hurt McCain or help him ?
I'm not sure.

McCain is going senile - he says he doesn't know if Trump will be better, but pledges to block all Clinton nominees. What kind of sense does that make?

McCain is an unprincipled, dishonest man who deserves to lose his seat.  Hopefully this year is the final humiliation for him.  Then we can finally stop pretending that he is relevant to anything.

Nice to see the Highground poll showing a double-digit McCain landslide even as Clinton narrowly takes Arizona!
