It's only public if you voted or not, not who you voted for.

I understand that, but I don't find it to be appropriate. It is nobody's business whether or not people vote but their own.

Why would anybody care what their neighbors think?  Plus, this is so obviously an empty threat, anybody would just laugh before throwing it in the trash.

Sure, it's comically Orwellian, but if I received a similar mailer for my neighborhood, I literally wouldn't recognize a single name on it.  I guarantee my neighbors wouldn't recognize mine.  Thus, I wouldn't care.
