Absurd and hypocritical. Now they want to leave the Supreme Court vacancy for at least 5 years.

McCain didn't say to nominate someone with bipartisan appeal, he said not to confirm ANYONE appointed by a Democrat. I believe in checks and balances, but the GOP is abusing this privilege.

I understand not confirming a nominee who is ideologically extreme, but rejecting everyone who is left of center is absurd.
