Seems like Rubio won a crushing victory. Makes sense; his opponent is a total empty suit, whereas he is a distinguished legislator and debater, and likely future President. This exchange in particular stood out:

Calling Rubio a distinguished legislator is like calling Carmen Electra an acclaimed thespian.

Out of context, that's debilitating to Murphy. Aw well; I wasn't really counting on winning this race anyway, not with the FL Dems being what they are

Interesting, everything I read on twitter was Rubio refused 4 different times to commit to serving a full term.

Murphy makes Marco look like an accomplished and distinguished senator. I would say Marco couldn't have gotten a better person to run against but of course the alternative was Grayson.

No one could make Rubio look like a competent or accomplished Senator; Florida is just being Florida.

Yeah, this. FFS, the guy has said he hates the senate, refused to pledge that he will serve a full term, and yet Floridians don't seem to care much if their state lacks adequate representation.

Marco is a master debater.  Lil Patrick had no shot!  I would trade every seat in the Senate for this one.  Give me 1 marco and 99 Democrats, and ill take those odds.

As opposed to the countless Hillary circle-jerk threads in the 2016 forum?

Apologies to TNVolunteer for giving him a hard time about his prediction a while back that Rubio would easily win; he was right and I was very, very wrong on this one Sad

Obviously it won't happen, but boy would I love to see your face if you got what you wished for (or not even 99 Democrats but, say, 61).
