Whereas, no objections have been expressed, I move that the Senate-Elect adopt a draft of the rules found at http://www.geocities.com/forumsenate/rules.html.

Note: Only Senators-elect have may vote here. The rules are subject to further change either in the case of error-checking, or in the case of a general consensus.

I will look into the rules proposed. It is very long, so it will take some time to look at it. Some things already seem unclear.

Having read through the rules, I see no problem with them, however I shall withhold on voting as somebody may spot a problem that I have not, however it looks promising.

Before any voting is made I say that each party within the Senate, vote for there leaders, in this case the Dems the Majority Leader, and the Progressives the Miniority Leader, and I guess GOPers too. Also the President Pro Tempore, and a Speaker

I guess that I should also vote.

I vote Aye on the Rules.

Incidentally, by the way, what should be the official voting words used in the Senate? Will it be Yes & No, Aye & No, or Yea & Nay?

Okay.

Btw, there should be a time limit on this voting. It seems conventional to have a 48-hour limit, as evidenced by the voting threads. Therefore, Voting shall end, after rounding to the next hour, 1:00 pm on Wednesday.

Aye. We need to get this done so that we can appoint a Supreme Court to resolve the District 4 controversy. We can change the rules later if theres some egregious problem.

Four Senators whose elections are uncontested have consented to the rules, out of a total of eight. One more Senator's vote is necessary to adopt these rules.
