Gary Johnson would be Orange, Jill Stein would be Green, so he would be Brown or Yellow I guess.

Green, it's the standard indie color (and the green party isn't ever gonna need it)

The Libertarian party official color is yellow/gold, not orange.

Green for McMullin as a generic independent color

And for hypotheticals:

Yellow for Gary Johnson and Libertarians
Purple for Castle and the Constitution Party
Pink for Socialists as Red is already taken

I chose white, so that we could have a red, white and blue map.

Purple would fit best.

But I'm pretty sure they will use some sh*tty colour, like CNN did with their primary results maps.

Brown. Like the color of what pours out of McMullin's mouth.

Either white as he is fulfilling the prophecy of the White Knight or red to symbolize that he is the "normal" Republican in the race while Trump gets some other color.

Either yellow or white, as you would want it to contrast easily with both blue and red.
