It seems like everybody here is able to "read" prediction or what-if maps. Can you name all the states on blank a map or do you sometimes (or more often) take a look on another map?

I couldn't until the 2012 election. After checking out electoral-vote.com almost every day, after a few weeks, I learned it without intending to do so. I think I could even name all states with only the border lines shown. However, I was always good at geography.

Well for someone who can draw all the states, your avatar is one of the worst drawings of Kentucky I have ever seen.

Complain to DAVE then.

But I don't blame him: his avatar-making hands have become quite shaky since his imprisonment in my basement.

Yes.

I think the more pressing question would be, can you determine each state's electoral votes from a blank map. From memory:

Sadly, this thread reminds me of what Alec Guinness wrote on William Hague being able to name all UK constituencies.

Something about Hague being a politics nerd no-one respected?

That's like going to a football (soccer) forum and asking if the posters know every World Cup winner.

Of course. I can also pick out the partisan composition of the 2 Senate seats, at least a ballpark of the House delegations / # electoral votes, and which party controls each legislature chamber.
