McMullin to put a third color on the map and to show that social conservatives aren't going to vote for any immoral Republican candidate no matter how much their interests conflict.

Either Clinton or McMullin would be hugely significant and interesting on the electoral map.  Overall, the appeal of actually having a 3rd party win a state is too much more me.  McMullin.

EGG MCMUFFIN!!!

I want to end the current historical weirdness that goes thus: the last time a third party got electoral votes, it was due to a racist segregationist playing to the fears of white southerners.

The last time a non-segregationist won a state was in 1924 with Robert LaFollette.

Hoping McMullin pushes it to Clinton but if that can't happen McMullin. Either way embarrass Trump in one of the most conservative states in the country.

Hillary Clinton doesn;t have a chance this time in Utah.

Evan McMullen gets to show that Utah is not automatic for a Republican. Offend Mormon values and lose the Mormon vote, even if you are a Republican.

McMullin to hope for a miracle where Trump does well enough elsewhere to force it to the House, which elects the true conservative.  Only way we get a very good to great president out of this.  Hillary would be disastrous.  Trump could be anywhere from terrible to quite good.  But, McMullin could be great.

McMullin. Any loss by the two main parties is a positive.

McMullin, because it would be historic, a repudiation of Trump & Hillary and because he's a better choice than any of them.

Actually, if you want to be pedantic, the last third party to get electoral votes was the Libertarian Party in 1972.

Depends on Alaska.
If Alaska goes blue, I'll be rooting for McMullin to win Utah.
If Hillary loses Alaska, I'll want her to win Utah.

Clinton because Utah Dems deserve an election night celebration for once.  Especially the people that volunteer every election even though they lose in landslides.

This could be a once in a lifetime event for political nerds like us.

If anything, I want to see the reactions of people who haven't been paying close attention if a state goes Independent.

The ideal placing would be Trump in first, McMullin in second, and Clinton dead last.

There's actually 10 candidates on the ballot in Utah (plus several more write-ins).  Tongue
