Clinton up 6 in the Northeast? What the hell? PA would have to be, like, R+10 for this to make any sense. What in all hell.

Bumping this because I really think that this needs to be answered. What would cause such a huge swing towards Trump from Romney? Am I missing something?

Don't go looking through the internals of a SUSA poll. That way lies only madness.

It's a tiny subsample so it gives crazy results, that's what you're missing.

Well... the whole poll was about 800 people, so the MOE would be 7-10 percent. Even at the highest point, this would be 15% or so... Obama won the region by about 20%.

MoE applies to both candidate values, so the MoE on the percentage margin is actually twice the listed MoE.

But Lief is right...despite not being a terrible pollster or anything, SUSA routinely gets some weird-ass crosstabs.

I'd chalk it up more to Lief's point. SurveyUSA's crosstabs are notoriously bizarre.

Double digit Clinton leads in the past week:

NBC/WSJ: +11, +11
Monmouth: +12
Boston Globe/SurveyUSA: +10
PRRI: +15

Almost double-digit leads:

NBC/WSJ: +9
Bloomberg: +9
CBS/NYT: +9
GWU/Battleground: +8

This is excellent! Since Trump bombed out that last debate, I gained some more confidence that Hillary will win in a double digit landslide.

Along with the fact that Trump has almost no backing by the Republican establishment, has no money, and has no ground game. This is a perfect storm for Hillary.
