The realignment of the country towards Democrats seems to not only be continuing, but picking up steam. As I've stated over the past year, Virginia is probably a safe D state either now or by 2020. North Carolina is quickly headed in that direction as well!

Isn't this, like, a Really Big Deal? Weren't there something around 150 million registered voters in 2012? If so, this is a stunning spike in registration.
