Not only to Hispanics (Spanish speaking community), but offensive to all Americans and how we should respect each other.

For a man who has already said racial slurs against Hispanics, yes, that comment was definitely offensive.

If he was a Spanish-speaking person who was known to get along well with Hispanics, it might have been more welcome, but not when said by Trump.

Was just on CNN Espanol.  Trumps' "we have some bad hombres" comment was beyond the pale offensive.  To Latinos, to immigrants to Americans!

Typical, this is an extremely important election and nincompoops like George Takei are busy making trivial little jokes and minimizing Trump.

Yeah, if you don't understand why "bad hombres" was offensive in this context, then it's gonna be pretty difficult for anyone to explain it to you. It definitely matters who the speaker is here. Nobody heard that remark in a vacuum; they heard it in the context of everything else Trump has ever said about Hispanics. Now, the way he said "bad hombres" exuded a sort of smug sarcasm about the fact that the people he was talking about were Hispanic. It also implied that it is specifically the Mexicans in this country that are the bad people we need to get rid of. As someone on CNN pointed out, this was probably the first time Trump has ever spoken a word of Spanish on the campaign trail, and he used it to mock the Spanish language and Hispanic people.

Was it the most offensive thing Trump has said in the last week? No. Was it an order of magnitude more offensive than something like "binders full of women"? Absolutely.

Yes it is offensive. It's the same thing as saying we got some bad brothas or sneaky ishes. It's the fact that he incorporated vernacular that is associated with that group that makes it offensive.

Calling attention to the ethnicity of bad guys is bad form unless discussing ethnic-based organized crime. But this said, one does not refer to the Sicilian Mafia as 'bad uomini'
