I can see why he's doing this - China tends to be quite generous with loans; unlike the West which tends to require more strings attached (as well as his long-standing infornal alliance with the Maoists) - but it is a dangerous game. Maybe in time DC will regret pushing Manilla so hard on the South China Sea issue, if this backlash becomes irreversible.
