I don't support gay marriage. Civil union yes. Marriage no.
I think gay couples shouldn't be allowed to adopt children either.

I think gay campaign groups have to much money and influence on politics today.

Am I homophobic?

I think that these kinds of questions can be answered by taking the original question and applying it to other groups. Is not supporting women's sufferage ... sexist?

This really isn't applicable unless you think gays shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I feel like, as a noted transphobe, you shouldn't be allowed to criticize this.

Thanks, I often forget what I'm allowed to talk about.

What if someone said this about themselves:

"I don't support any civil rights protections for blacks and I oppose affirmative action, Black Lives Matter, and interracial marriage.  I'd always be polite to a black person if I ran into one, but I wouldn't share my straw with one of them and I think that businesses have the right to segregate races, teachers should have the right to exclude black history from their social studies classes, and that MLK Day should be done away with.  Am I racist?"

I would say you would be considered someone with antigay views and beliefs.  Maybe not afraid of gay people and you'd probably be nice to one if you met one, but you do have a bias.

I'm curious is it just gays you oppose or are you consistently across the board opposed to anti-discrimination laws for every group?

I mean, not necessarily, I guess. But the question is, why do you have these views? I would think the reasoning behind them would at least be somewhat problematic. even if it doesn't necessarily come from a hatred of gay people.

I am not sure. Do you have an irrational fear or aversion to homosexuals/homosexuality?

It is impssible to answer your question without knowing this.

The thing with adoption though. Do you really think it is better for kids to remain a ward of the state than to be raised by two dads or two moms?
I think the term "homophobia" is overrated:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phobia

"A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, defined by a persistent fear of an object or situation."
on the other hand:
"Homophobia – Negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT)."

I think some people are uncomfortable with the idea that someone of the same gender might be attracted to them; it seems to me that would be more fear based than one's political philosophy although the two often overlap. Also, this discomfort could come from a general lack of comfort with one's own sexuality.

Yes it makes you homophobic. Not supporting gay rights bluntly shows that.

Guys, calm down! I think the OP just wanted to advert in a satirical way to the arrogance genuine homophobes exhibit every day. His avatar is a green one, plus he's from Alaska, thus he can't be homophobic.
