I will be closely following my home state of Florida, I feel like it is going to do something odd this year.

Florida or Ohio were my two picks, but if one, then Florida.

If I had to pick one state, probably FL, but AZ, IA, NC, OH, PA, and possibly others will be interesting to watch.

North Carolina, because I want it to trend Democratic and I really want Pat McCrory to go down in flames.

Also Utah, to see how many counties McMuffin wins.

Missouri, Nevada, and North Carolina, because I expect the senate races in those states will be decided on a knife's edge.

Definitely Utah. Followed by Arizona and Alaska, then Texas. Of the traditional battleground states, I will be most interested in following Florida, as always.

Florida at first, knowing that if Hillary wins it, then I will feel comfortable that the election is over.
But later, Utah .... hoping McMullin or Hillary can take it from trump.

Strictly the Presidential race; Arizona, followed by North Carolina, Utah, Texas, & Florida.

For the presidential race only:

1. Maine
2. Iowa
3. Ohio
4. Utah
5. Alaska
6. Texas
7. All the(other) swing states

For the Senate races, obviously all competitive states.

For the Governors races:

1. Montana
2. West Virginia
3. North Carolina
4. Vermont

My main interest is of course the election result in Hudson, NY, and in particular, one item on the back of the ballot. The local elections for NY-19 and the legislature are also interesting, and all should be close.

North Carolina. I have a close friend from there, and there are three important and competitive races happening in tandem

Margins in the early states will be telling of the total trend.
Then the major swing states - North Carolina and Ohio especially.
After that, should Clinton be the clear winner thus far, I suppose we'd move on to looking at competitive senate/house races.
Finally, the majesty of Utah. Hopefully it will be entertaining.

Question 5 in Maine, Proposition F in San Francisco, the Senate races in all the tossup states, the Vermont, New Hampshire, and North Carolina gubernatorial elections, and of course Utah.

The semi-competitive races I care about most apart from just the Senate majority and the Electoral College:

-McCrory vs. Cooper
-Rubio vs. Murphy
-Toomey vs. McGinty
-Burr vs. Ross
-Johnson vs. Feingold
-NO on all marijuana initiatives
-Not allowing any Southern state (other than Virginia, which is a given) to vote for Clinton
-Utah going for McMullin
-Mike Lee winning by at least 50 over Mr. Snow
