Christie is still nominally the head of Trump's "Transition Team" but I am no tsure he is still a surrogate for Trump. He hasn't done any media for Trump since the Billy Bush tape and has made it clear when he has spoken that he wasn't happy about how Trump responded to it.   
 
Regardless, it seems that Christie is finished. Even if Trump somehow won, I don't see how Christie could survive a Senate confirmation for AG (or anything) after what has been said in court about him. It appears both the prosecution and the defense agree he knew, and therefore he lied. He isn't in legal trouble, but politically it is over for him.
