Wish it all the day, but no way Kennedy don't make it.

Campbell/Kennedy seems about right.

My bad, I though the question was who we wanted to win.

Two most likely:
1. Campbell v. Kennedy
2. Fayard v. Kennedy

Two most preferred:
1. Fayard v. Duke
2. Fayard v. Campbell

I'm no Republican but it's hard to oppose anybody who can come up with something this brilliant:

Hoping for Fayard/Campbell because there is no way a Dem is winning otherwise. Would require undecideds breaking for Democrats + Kennedy vote split to Boustany. Not impossible.

So, there's no doubt about it that Campbell Kennedy will make it to the second round?

I really wish this poll used alphabetical order for matchups instead of two options for the same matchup depending on who comes in first in the Jungle

It would be, but it doesnt mean anything when it comes to the eventual runoff

Well, if the runner-up is a Democrat, it does...

Fleming/Fayard.

Is Kennedy being a Moderate too much for a Moderate Republican to win in the Deep South?

I chose my dream: Campbell/Fayard. There is really no way for a Democrat to win unless this is a same-party race or (one candidate is Mr Duke)

What is it with Louisiana senate seats and prostitute problems? You'd think after Vitter they'd be more discrete about these things.

Well, it predates or is roughly concurrent with Vitter's issue, but this involves 8 prostitutes that were found dead and dumped is the swamps outside of Lafayette over a few years that was treated as a serial killer, but may have involved the police and powerful people who can manipulate the police.  It has a True Detective vibe to the whole thing.

According to the latest poll, Boustany has a realistic chance of making it to the runoff.

I think Boustany could do well.  There's an outside shot of a Boustany/Kennedy runoff if Fayard and Campbell pull about even numbers of Democrats.

Almost everybody thinks that Kennedy will make it to the runoff.
But why? What makes him so popular? He has run for several offices in the last 25 years, and he lost every race (unless he ran unopposed).

It looks like Kennedy's been able to take up the "anti-establishment" mold the best of any GOP'er running, and he's got the money and statewide name recognition that Maness and Fleming do not.

He'll be one of the worst senators in the country, IMO.
