Clinton inherited the Obama machine, as well has her own. That is one thing to keep in mind. Sanders might be doing better with WCW, but conversely white suburbanites would think twice before voting for him (even moreso than Hillary).

I don't think the socialist label would hurt him all that much, talk radio has basically desensitized the country with this king of rhetoric, calling Obama a muslim atheist communist.

I stand behind my theory that literally any other Democrat would have crushed Trump, just as literally any other Republican would have crushed Clinton.  We would be talking about maybe 100 votes for the losing candidate if either party had made a better decision.  Even Sanders or Warren would have killed Trump, just as even Jindal or Graham would have killed Clinton.

In lieu of his debate performances and PussyGate Trump would have lost to anyone. It would have been closer with Sanders, though, and he was such a scattershot debater he wouldn't have taken advantage of Trump the way Clinton did. Biden could have impaled him in a way Clinton can't because no one likes an angry woman. A Biden-Trump debate would have been pure gold.

Biden/Trump

Joe Biden- 394
Donald Trump- 144

Sanders/Trump

Bernie Sanders-307
Donald Trump- 231

My Clinton/Trump prediction-

Hillary Clinton- 358
Donald Trump- 180

Sanders would not make GA remotely competitive. TX and AZ would both be Likely Trump, unless Sanders seriously worked on his minority outreach.

Well, Trump probably would have taken a shot at Biden's son to which Joe could have turned and looked at him and said "is there no low to which you will not stoop"?

Yep. But he will probably go farther and mock Biden's depression, although Biden could get away with being far more aggressive than Hilary and humiliate Trump.

For those so quick to insist Sanders would rout Trump, name me one instance in the primary where Sanders did well when multiple states were at play in one primary night. His campaign, by design, was not built to win..

Biden is far weaker than I thought in 2016 (Missouri? No.), but remember Trump had the power of incumbency in 2020. Biden would still win unlike Hillary.

Biden would also be able to maintain better mental alertness, appear less frail, and have immediate sympathy regarding the tragic loss of his better son.
