Although it's worth noting that Mussolini was never "elected" to power (even in the faint parliamentary sense in which Hitler was "elected").

Hitler certainly did not come to power via parliamentary election. Parliamentary government was suspended in 1930 and he was effectively (at least at the beginning) a presidential chancellor, just like Bruning and von Papen.
