So, what are your thoughts, what final business is President Obama doing? Some executive action? Something controversial?
There are a few things that came to my mind:
* Ordering to close Guantanamo Bay. At least he suggested by the beginning of the year that he’ll try something to do it. Whether that is constitutional without an act of congress is another question.
* Finally open the JFK papers: By law, they are classified/secret until 2017, unless the president determines an earlier date. Why not open them now?
* Pardon all illegal immigrants?
* Some controversial pardons? But I don’t have any suggestions? Snowden? Manning? Blago?
Pardoning all illegal immigrants is completely illogical and out of step with his current practice of deporting them.
There's a negative chance that self-obsessed traitors Snowden and Manning get pardons, and Obama probably doesn't even remember that Blago exists much less have any desire to pardon him.
JFK papers are gonna be opened soon anyway...
If he doesn't have a solid, real plan for what to do with the prisoners at Guantanamo, he won't close it, that would be reckless and foolish, one thing Obama has proven himself capable of not being.
