This is an important issue to many millennials who feel the war on cannabis is absurd at this point. They strongly favor legalizing it and taxing it for revenue for the government. I haven't seen either candidate really be asked this question directly and was wondering their views on it.

Neither support legalization. Those of whom consider this a primary issue will likely vote third party. Others who believe marijuana should be legalized but are terrified of Trump will vote Clinton.

Well thats a shame for everyone if they both feel that way, such a waste of money and putting youg kids in prison for something IMO should not destroy their futures. Is it really worse smoking a joint compared to having 6 or 7 shots at a bar. Just my opinion but disappointing if thats how they both feel.

Now that gay marriage is legal, this is the most important issue for millennials.

Clinton is OK with legalization, but will leave it up to the states and certainly won't try to make an issue of it either way.

Trump? No clue.

No, it isn't. College affordability and stable growth/job opportunities are. Cannabis legalization is just a "yea okay" issue.

P.S. Climate change also more important

Technically Obama doesn't favor legalization, and I don't see him having many problems with millennials.

As far as I'm concerned, Hillary wants to have labs to test marijuana. Depending on the results, she might say yes to it.

Anyways, important millennial issues include college affordability and climate change.

Marijuana prohibition is the only US government policy that perpetrates actual structural racism. It should be done away with.

TIL the Patriot Act doesn't target Muslims and our visa regime doesn't favor white people.

I think both are fine with medical marijuana at this point, but not full on legalization.  Pretty disappointing.

Exactly. I'm more worried about getting through college with as little debt as possible, entering a stable economy and job market in ~four years, and living in a society which cares about the environment. Sure, I'd like to see marijuana legalized, but it's not high up on my priority list.

Marijuana is a huge issue. Not because of recreational use but because of the huge number of non violent criminals we have in prison.

I agree with you almost one hundred percent. I'm so sick of the f***ing legal system and its war on drugs in which people get ridiculous prison sentences just for possessing drugs.

By the way, can you guys tell how anti-police I am?

Hillary said she wants to decriminalize, and is open to legalization pending further studies.

I once read about how some teenager got caught by the police with drugs at his house and the family came pretty damn close to losing the house due to asset forfeiture. The judge signed the order to seize the house.

If I could, I would've cussed out the judge until I lost my breath.

Trump has no stated position on marijuana; but Chris Christie (A potential Attorney General in a Trump Administration) is VERY against the idea of legal cannabis. To the point that he said he would overrule state jurisdiction and shut down recreational cannabis in Washington, Colorado, ect.
