Maine is a good place to live, but I think my home state of New Hampshire is the best in the northeast.

New England, and especially the northern states (New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine) are great places to live and raise a family.

Mississippi probably got the shaft, which is unfortunate.  I think I've turned out fine.  Of course they're probably taking a state average, where lily-white Madison doesn't make much impact.
