I think Texas falls slightly short of a swing state, at least until we see a credible poll with Clinton leading.  She might surprise us on election day, but I think the odds are against it.

That said, the mere fact that it's this close is definitely amusing.

I'll believe Texas being a swing state when I see it on election day. Utah...interesting, but not really that surprising when you think about it. McMullin is a mormon, which is really all you need to win Utah.

This is Atlas. There's going to be a yuge celebration here when McMullin wins if only because it adds color to the map.

Replace Texas with Arizona or Georgia.  Extremely amused, particularly with Utah.

I wouldn't exactly call Texas a swing state, Clinton has yet to lead in a poll there. Still, the fact that it's as close as it is is hilarious.

Trump hasn't led in a PA poll since July and people still call it a swing state. Hillary led in multiple GA polls and most people don't think it's a swing state.

Back in July there were people (Republicans) talking about Oregon and New Jersey being swing states.

Clearly the standards are as follows:

1.  Once a Republican even comes close to winning a typically Democratic state at any point in the last 20 years, it is hereby a swing state for every election thereafter

2.  In order for a reliably Republican state to be considered a swing state, it must be won by the Democrats at minimum twice, preferably three times.

Extremely amused, considering if we had Rubio or Kaisich at the top of that ticket they'd be winning right now. Didn't vote Trump in the primary or general, can't blame me for what the party is doing right now.

Extremely, and I'm not easily amused.
