After all, according to Andrew Weil MD "Electromagnetic pollution (EMF) may be the most significant form of pollution human activity has produced in this century". The device came to prominence when Cherie Blair started wearing them on the advice of, well, Hillary Clinton. This seems to be corroborated by much of the UK media of the time, although there is no smoking gun.
