Back in my day we had a regularly updated wiki that kept track of elections, officeholders, and which laws had passed - these days, the wiki doesn't even have the correct constitution or regions!

Where can I find the current constitution, as amended?

Where can I find the current index of laws that have been passed on the Federal level since the reboot?

Where can I find regional constitutions and officeholders and laws?

For that matter where can I find a list of Federal officeholders? How about the current rules of the House and Senate?



Basically what I'm asking is --- is anyone even keeping track of this?? If so where am I missing it? If not, why not? Do you guys just not know how or what? Hell if you link me to the stuff I asked about above, [/i]I[/i] could even do some of it for you guys

I've been trying to start this back up with a region-by-region effort to update the Wiki on local politics, amongst people who are engaged with their home region's political developments.  I've spent most of today and last night working on the North's pages, but I also created the South's and Fremont's pages for people to get started on.

The president established a five-person Wiki Commission that was supposed to take care of this a few months ago; I'm not sure if it's still active. I know Clyde, Peebs, and Scott have been putting in a lot of work overhauling the wiki recently, though there's obviously a lot left to do. In the meantime, a complete record of all federal laws and executive orders passed in the last four months, as well as an up-to-date copy of the Fourth Constitution, may be found here.

By the way, we're going to either need a current sysop or ask Dave to appoint a new sysop to edit the Main Page so that it reflects the current state of the game.

All the current sysops either quit the forum or don't play anymore, so the latter might be our only choice (and I'd happily volunteer for it, btw).

In the interim couldn't you just make a special page as a "temporary" front page? I'm glad to see you've been adding things to the wiki but there's only so much good the information can do if it's not accessible.

See, here's my issue at the current moment: the election booth being unopened five hours after it was supposed to start means I need to seek emergency injunctive relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court page on the wiki hasn't been updated in 11 months so I know that's not up to date, but I can't find any contemporary source about who's on the court at all! I still don't see the current Federal Constitution on the wiki, so at the moment I'm not even sure how many members of the court there are! Surely this is not the best we can do? I'm definitely willing to help, of course, if I can do anything

The Supreme Court has five members
Two of them are Federal Justices:
Chief Justice Windjammer
Dereich

Three of them double as Regional Judicial Officials:
South - myself
North - TJ
Fremont - Bgwah

And aside from the last week, the Supreme Court has not had a single case or even discussion generated from a potential legal issue since the reset.

Yes, but that particular copy is out of date; we have adopted three Constitutional Amendments in the last four months that are not included in that thread. An updated version may be read here.
