I don't know about this... I'd prefer Biden's time being dedicated to his cancer moonshot.

He'd be 74 at the time of starting the job. He's been in politics since the 70s. He should just go home and enjoy the rest of his life in peace.

Not a great pick, not terrible but not great either.

Biden is regarded as being a foreign policy expert because he can name the Prime Minister of France without Google and to a certain extent, relative to other DC politicians, that DOES make him a foreign policy expert. But once you go beyond that, his knowledge and insight doesn't go much deeper than a Wikipedia page.

Politics at play, I guess. Biden didn't run in exchange for SoS.

If she shafts him, it's going to be Season 6 of House of Cards.

Who are you to say what someone should do with their life based on age? Oh, I forgot, you're the person who thinks their endorsement and rankings count as much as people who are actually relevant. Excuse me, Mr. President.

Jimmy Carter is 92 and has done more for the world at his age than many politicians will do in a lifetime of public service. Age is not and should not be an issue.

Hillary being a creature of the past herself, needs to forge an administration of the future, not the past.

Hillary would be well advised not to stack her administration with Mayflower Democrats.

Biden for SOS, a terrible choice.

I'm half joking, but I'm sure Biden was offered something in exchange for not running.

Also, if Clinton wins by double digits AND he gets the shaft, I'm calling it.

I doubt he would want it.
I doubt he would accept if offered.

Why is this surprising?

He has the resume and stature, and seriously considered running for President.

He was "offered" the opportunity to not end his political career with a humiliating 3rd place finish.

He's a former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee and was the Obama administration's point-man on Iraq. He would be perfect for the role.

Fun fact: if nominated, Biden would be just second VP to serve as the cabinet secretary after John C. Calhoun (also the state).

Come on, Biden would've done better than Sanders.
