Stop trying to put lipstick on this pig with these asterisks and bullet points -- as far as the media and the general public are concerned, all and any emails are Clinton emails.

PS: A small Clinton >=300 EV win would be a devastating loss for the Democratic Party. It would mean an open season for the GOP Congress to start impeachment proceedings against Clinton (and Kaine) even before her inauguration.

Why commit political suicide? Leadership wouldn't let that out.

The Trump dogs got a bone to chew on, but it turns out it was just a twig worth nothing. Starving dogs often mistake odd things for food.

Podesta says "incredible this is coming out 11 days before election day", I'm not sure why you guys are assuming that these emails have nothing to do with Clinton though, they wouldn't have sent that letter to Congress if it had nothing to do with Clinton.
He wanted to make Chaffetz look like a moron. He knew he'd leak this, so he made it the perfect bait. Comey's just got at revenge.

@jonfavs:

After a DEFCON 1 freakout, we now know the emails in question were:

1) Not from Hillary

2) Not from her sever

3) Not from her investigation

Doesn't matter, damage is done. If the truth mattered in this campaign Trump wouldn't be polling above 30%.

If the FBI was legit re-opening the e-mail investigation, then this would be a major headline from now until election day, and it would give Trump an opening to really make this a close election.

Given what we know now, this is a negative news cycle for Clinton, but I can't imagine it affecting her national margin by more than like a point or a point and a half, if it does at all.

New emails tied to the FBI's Clinton inquiry were discovered during the investigation into Anthony Weiner's sexting
https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/792082223461695488
Oh my god, did he send Clinton dick pics?

PLOT TWIST: Clinton deleted emails from her private server so she didn't have to see Anthony Weiner's junk.

The election is already basically set. This really shouldn't change much of anything in the long run. As I've said, at worst there's the 272 firewall which won't overturn over this. Just means a smaller win.

Would be a smaller win than some are expecting anyway, with disaffected Republicans gradually and reluctantly turning back to Trump to stop Clinton. Polls were going to tighten with or without this - but probably not by much, either way.

I mean... wouldn't the worst case scenario here be an email between Huma and someone else basically saying "we got away with it" and listing all the incriminating things the FBI missed in their investigation? The chances of that are nill. In reality, Huma probably discussed the matter with other people and they found those emails, and they are now reviewing them.

And frankly, Clinton dumping Huma isn't exactly a big loss at this point.

I'm pissed I broke out my fatalism over practically nothing.

That's probably the best statement of Atlasian philosophy that I've ever seen. Smiley

If it was only three emails as has been reported why couldn't he have quickly reviewed them

Per the New York Times, it was "thousands".

Recovered from one of Huma's devices. So likely emails between Huma and Hillary.

My head is in the clouds actually. I'm marveling at all the winning that I'm gonna be sick and tired of under President Trump. Hillary's trading in her pantsuits for a jumpsuit.
