I find it hard to believe someone who suggests Trump will be exiled for whatever he's done. Although that would certainly be very funny.

Unless it's a video of Trump raping, murdering or pillaging, releasing something a day before the election is a waste if they are trying to bring him down. It takes longer than 24~ hours for a negative story to have maximum impact.

But, if I recall, Eichenwald had at least a couple stories in Newsweek that were supposed to be big but turned out to have little impact. He's had some good stuff, and I don't know how he personally rates his stories, but I'd be skeptical of any notion that what he releases will have a significant impact. Remember, we're post-Access Hollywood and post-dozen accusers now. The bar for damaging stories has been raised quite a bit at this point, it seems.
