He's going to hell anyways, so I guess I won't judge him for acting in self-defense assuming his account is to be believed (I don't care either way). I'm not much of an animal person, and aside from my family's 13 year old Golden Retriever who I suspect will not be around by Christmas, I really can't rally any emotions for animals besides the basics like "don't be cruel."

I'm more interested in the fact that a man with a punctured wrist is being criticized for protecting his pregnant wife than I am the fact that he strangled a dog. If I was bleeding profusely and being attacked by an enraged dog, my first reaction would be to start kicking it and not stop until the thing is down. I don't know he thought getting close to it's mouth was a good idea, but I guess he's a braver man then I am.
