Republicans deserve to lose Ryan. Why should he put up with all the crap he's had to endure when he could be living the easy life as a lobbyist? The House GOP begged him to be speaker, and right after he took over, demands that he step down began, and he's been treated like garbage by both right and left since Trump got the nomination.

Why wouldn't he step down given all that? I know I would.

Without Paul Ryan there is literally nobody who can hold the House Republican Conference together - especially if they'll be dealing with a reduced majority next year.

I have full confidence that yet again Paul Ryan will be forced to be Speaker against his will.

I don't blame him, for wanting to quit, BUT I blame him for always taking a wushu washy stance when it comes to trump, and that if he was that great at what he does, then why had he failed so hard at Speaker and at leading? I would have zero confidence that he would get anything done as president either.
