if strip clubs weren't considered public, the government wouldn't be able to ban smoking in them.

Topless women in public - if they have a license
Full nudity in public - for women only, and only if they have a license
Why for women only? For the viewing pleasure of men? And how would you give them licenses?

because I don't want to see some fat guy with his package out walking down the street, an attractive girl on the other hand would be quite nice. They get a license by going apply for one, then a panel of 9 heterosexual men and 1 lesbian decides if she's attractive enough, and grants it if she is. If they're naked they can strap it to their leg or arm like strippers do with their money.
What about women and gay men who wouldn't mind seeing some virile, hunky studs walking down the street naked? But good luck with that system - as long as my tax dollars aren't pumped into those efforts to legalize selective nudity. Roll Eyes

Uh, what?

if strip clubs weren't considered public, the government wouldn't be able to ban smoking in them.
Personally, I don't see why the government should care if people smoke in strip clubs. If they want lung cancer that's fine with me. I don't go to strip clubs so there is no danger of me inhaling second-hand smoke from patrons. Is alcohol legal in strip clubs? If so then why isn't smoking?

In Minneapolis smoking in ALL indoor businesses is now banned, bars, restaurants, night clubs, strip clubs, everything. And in June of 2006 the same will be true down here. The difference between alcohol and tobacco is being next to someone who's drinking alcohol doesn't give you the same effects that person is. As long as there's second hand smoke, I applaud any laws that mean I no longer have to breathe that cancer causing sh**t when I go out.

Don't like it, don't go. Don't restrict private property rights for your own petty convenience.

It's the city council who did it, not me. Since I can't change it should I just not enjoy having clean air now?

Hey, you applaud, and therefore support, the action of the city council. You can affect their decisions, and in fact as a citizen it is your duty to keep watch on your government to ensure they aren't doing something wrong. You can write to them, heck, even visit them, and tell them your opinion. And you can still work to change it by helping to vote in people who would change it, or even running yourself to do it.

Wait, so this is when you suddenly favour government intervention (enforcement, whatever) in supposedly privately owned strip clubs, BRTD? I'm confused... Huh

If you'd look closer, the 'pAEd' version is the British variant - in other words in the US it is more commonly the 'pEd' form that is used.

Also, the foot fetish word is podophilia, so I can see how you got it confused since it's only one letter off.

yeah! thats what i meant. Sorry dudes

I was talking about your definition of "pedophilia" as the love of feet.  It is not.  Second, you're also wrong to say it is not spelt "pedophilia."  Clearly, there are two ways.  Get an education.
And you need to grow up and respect the way people spell words (honour, colour, defence, paedophilia, centre, etc.)

Necrophilia: If you can prove the person would consent to you doing their corpse...

In this case, it should be legal. Otherwise illegal.

Zoophilia - No.  Animals are living things, and torture of a living thing that is aware should be illegal.

By that logic, hunting should be illegal. It is interesting that many people consider zoophilia to be cruelty to animals, but don't consider hunting to be.
