Nikki Haley now also in the mix for Secretary of State?:

http://www.wyff4.com/article/report-gov-nikki-haley-being-considered-for-major-cabinet-position-in-trump-administration/8297700

Giuliani's still the betting favorite for SoS on Predictit, but he's dropped to 50% odds, as Bolton, Corker, and now Haley are all in double digits as well.

This is just getting weird. How is Nikki Haley in anyway remotely qualified? I get the madman strategy is being employed most likely, but it isn't being executed in a particularly competent manner.

Or they just have no idea what they're doing Tongue

I think a lot of these people aren't being considered period. I know that I took some risks with Trump and him randomly appointing people who I know he'd never hire for the Trump Organization was not one of them. I think a lot of these people are outright floating their names themselves in the hope that they can box him like Pence did (remember the disastrous VP rollout?) or to undermine the incoming administration.

I think Haley has more to gain by weakening Trump and supporting the Rubio primary challenge (it's going to happen, I guarantee it. I haven't heard any rumblings since I've been out of the loop since my internship ended in June-July, but they were surfacing then and I doubt they've been disproven so far) in 2020. She's eyeing the Vice Presidency and the nomination down the line.

This really isn't worth getting upset over until names are actually put forth.

Rubio would really risk crossing the base in four years by challenging the God-Emperor? (That's snark, btw)

I wouldn't love it so soon. The people have already demonstrated their stupidity. They're willing to accept all kinds of dumb sh-t and incompetence from their champion (barf).

So Giuliani just called the anti-Trump protesters "goons and thugs."

I wonder if this will effect his bid for SoS.
Hope this helps Bolton's chances, who would be an even better pick than Rudy.

Michelle Rhee eyed for Education Secretary

Meaningful education reform wasn't going to happen regardless of who won, but I guess that would seal it.

Wow it's like Trump is reading my mind on who the worst possible person for every position is.

Also; call me crazy but Jeff Sessions as Secretary of Defense and John Bolton/Rudy Giuliani for Secretary of State doesn't sound like an administration that thinks the Iraq War was a bad idea or that America should stop playing world policeman. Gotta wonder how some of the libertarian-leaning Trump supporters feel about that.

Rick Perry being considered for Secretary of Energy:

Ironically, it’s the department that Perry famously couldn’t remember in that debate.

Trump’s meeting with Eva Moskowitz (possible Education Sec. nominee) today:

Also meeting with Nikki Haley today:

No surprise. Defense is going to be interesting. He should pick Ayotte instead of Sessions, because it looks like it’s going to be a cabinet of old white men anyway.

Should note that NBC seems to be the only news org currently going as far as to say that Flynn is the choice for National Security Advisor.  So not sure if it's really a done deal yet.

I'd put money on Giulani getting thrown to the curb- the stories about him doing paid speeches were clearly briefed by people. As much as I dislike him at least at State he'll be stuck on a plane

The question is: Does the Trumpster actually care?
