Good God, see this is the only area of Trump's foreign policy that actually has me uneasy. Netanyahu is the most dangerous leader on the world stage unless you count Daesh as a legitimate "state."

Seems like another decent choice.

Veterans' issues are another area I care a lot about, although I'm not as knowledgeable about them as I wish I were.

The number of women in his administration is still horrifying.

There is no good reason to replace McDonald.  Heck if i weren't for the fact he's already there, McDonald has the resume to be one of Trump's CEO Cabinet picks that liberals have been castigating him for making.  He's doing a good job and is well liked by veteran's groups.  To be honest, no matter how qualified Howard may be, picking her would seem like an obvious attempt to promote a last minute gender balance by naming a female to a department Trump doesn't care much about.  In my opinion, the only other reason for dumping McDonald would be if the new Labor Secretary doesn't want competition in the Cabinet.

Netanyahu is horrible for Israel, but why do you think he's so dangerous? The most dangerous leader by far is Putin, because he already showed that he has high ambitions and poses a real threat to humanity in the form of a possible nuclear war. And I'm not saying it out of partisanship, please don't make it a partisan issue.

Sure it does. In preventing it from being sold off for short term gains to well-connected insiders profit. Like the post-office sell-off.

In other words, exactly the sort of thing I WOULD expect Trump to be in favor of.  We'll have to see how it plays out, but Zinke is the one appointment where I'm very cautiously optimistic, at least in the "probably as well as we could have done under the GOP" sense.
