Stavridis would be an amazing addition, as would Hadley and Townsend, but the latter two likely won't get anything. Both are too much of Bush era vets and thinkers for Trump's tastes.

Stavridis has been straddled between both parties, so I think Trump would see him as a more gentler version of Mattis. Still a commanding figure, but with more centrist allure.

I guess Agriculture may have been slowed down with time wasted trying to get Heitkamp on board, but VA makes less sense given Trump's focus on Vets during the campaign. Maybe there just aren't a lot of people that want the position, given all the problems associated with it and the likely blame that comes with it.

Perhaps President-elect Pussygrabber got bored with doing The Cabinet Apprentice, but he's been too busy watching TV and tweeting authorized Acting President-elect Pence to fill the positions yet?

Alternatively, maybe President-elect Puppet is waiting on orders from the Kremlin on who to appoint to the positions? But the intelligence investigation has compromised Putin's channels of control communication with the Puppet-elect, so he's left unable to act.

More context on this: David McCormick had previously been the frontrunner for Dep. Defense Secretary, but he turned it down.
