When it came that time again after another four years, I was naturally drawn back to this place. I've floated in and out for 11 years now, but I've never found a better community, full of you geeks all united in a passion for US politics and its data. After so long, I didn't know how it would feel to come back, but I was not at all let down. It's been an absolute blast, and I can't wait to do it with y'all again in four years. Let's soak it in and put in our best---it's gonna be a while. Dixville Notch is hours away; are y'all ready?

It is the only place i could find for a rational debate and learn about the US Presidential election.

I'm actually really sad that this is over, regardless of result. Elections are fun.

Yes, and there's a big feeling of letdown after each one.  But this year I think I'll be more relieved than sad.  Hopefully the next one will be more civil.

I'm about to hop off tonight, and I know this place might not make it tomorrow, so I just wanna echo these sentiments. I came in here knowing very little about presidential politics and all, now I feel like I have a PhD in it lol. This election has been absolutely insane, mostly in a bad way, but I'm glad I could share my thoughts and learn from others on here.

Yeah, I've learned more about politics and policy during my year here than I had learned in my entire life prior to joining this site. It's a great place to be.

This time four years ago I was heartbroken that the campaign was over. Now I'm reconsidering the last four years of my life period. This forum has been instrumental in keeping my spirits high over the rocky years between.
