My polling place.  Two districts, actually, one with a line out the door, and mine with no line at all Smiley.

BTW, are campaign signs this close to the polling place legal in Indiana?

Not sure if this was posted or where it should go but a couple of FL counties are apparently live-updating turnout: http://www.livevoterturnout.com/Hills/ElectionDayPartyTurnout.html

Intresting. In 2012 it was:

Romney 46.0% 250,186
Obama 52.7% 286,467

So Obama won by 30k or 6.7%. In 2012 he won by 36k or 7.2%

My township clerk said she mailed out 1,011 absentee ballots and received 968 back in the mail, with more dropped off at the office. I had ballot #50, and it took a half hour wait in line to get my ballot. By the time I left, the line was out the door, and this was in a rural township.

I feel bad my polling place in northeast Jersey(East Paterson) was basically empty.

I am looking forward to an orderly election which will eliminate the need for a violent bloodbath.

We must move forward, not backward upward, not forward and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

Is there any info about 2012 where we can compare it with?

I am currently in line at my polling precinct. I vote at a student-heavy precinct at the University of Michigan. I've been in line for 40 minutes and am only about halfway through it. It's really long. Thanks Obama.

Interesting. The county is averaging 18.000 voters per hour so far. That would be an additional 220.000 election day voters. For a total of 645.000 voters. In 2012, Hillsborough had 543.000 voters, an increase of 19%.

For Florida, this would mean 10.2 million votes today, after 8.5 million in 2012.

In Hillsborough County, the early/absentee vote was D+7.

The election day vote so far is R+5.

How could you?! Voting on ED is a tradition! Surprise

Next you'll be telling us you're one of those people who have a plastic Christmas tree or have a BBQ on Midsummer instead of eating herring.

No respect for Swedish values or customs at all. Make Sweden great again!

I just voted a couple of minutes ago in New Jersey. The line was pretty long. I overheard a couple who said that they don't really pay attention to politics. Just like the typical electorate. We are a apathetic/celebrity-driven culture, folks.

Tender's prediction:

* Turnout will hit 10 million today in FL (up 20% from 2012), based on hourly voting reports from Broward and Hillsborough Counties.

Line was longer than it was in 2012 here, but I think I was there later in the day that time. Went in around 9AM this morning, and it was about an hour before I was finished voting.

If the Blaxicasian turnout is anything like it is in Austria, Clinton is toast.

Sister just went to vote, said over 300 people had voted already in Elmwood Park NJ. She had to wait in line too.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is running a live blog on voting in metro Atlanta at http://www.ajc.com/news/local/election-day-atlanta-long-lines-inoperable-voting-machines/9st3wCxgGHgbmN73shzRoI/.  It's worth a look if you're interested.  It included this old chestnut:

I also drove by my Forsyth County precinct but didn't go in (I voted early).  There was no line outside and the parking lot was about half full.  Both are unusual from my voting experiences there, but it was at a probably slow time of day (10 a.m.)

One thing to remember about lines, turnout etc, is that the ballots are vastly different state to state. In California this year we have something like 17 ballot propositions on the ballot, and in my area elections for city council, school boards, plus legislators of course.
