Dang, this one was a nailbiter, and looks to be in recount territory.

Hopefully McCrory, but we will see. Durham county has some interesting...issues with voting that may be addressed.

Also, McCrory would've won easily had he not pissed off all of Charlotte. Love him, he's a great gov, but the HB2 stuff could've been done in a second term.

Hopefully Cooper, as a nice Corbett to soften the blow to what has essentially been 2014, Part 2.

Yeah, I can't see how it won't be Cooper.

There are a lot of silver linings in 2016, which hardly makes up for the main outcome, but this race looks like it will be one of those silver linings.

Agree, and I think McCrory also sunk Buck Newton, who trails Josh Stein just outside the recount eligible margin. Always knew Stein would win. Painful loss, now Stein is in good position to become Senator in 2020 or 2022, which is what I think he ultimately wants as he is a former staffer to John Edwards. He is quite to the left of the state (between Cooper and Ross, I guess, from what I know), but seems to get some crossover vote.

Provisional ballots are typically Dem, no?

That's good news for Cooper.

I do not care if wrong right now, but I'm saying McCrory.

Just as I bet Vitter would come through against Edwards after Kentucky.
