So this is my third attempt at a forum game. I have attempted it in the past, but was forced to abandon them based on psychological issues and my Uni work.

This will simulate the 1992 Presidential election.

Rules are as follows:

-Each turn will span one week and last 72 hours.

-Elections can be fluid things. Don't fret if you don't get in your schedule.

-At the end of every turn, random news headlines will be generated for each candidate, and each has the potential to increase or decrease standings.

-A candidate is allowed to complete 5 events a day

-Endorsements must be requested via PM with reasons for endorsing.

-Independent and third party candidates will be allowed, but they don't have the resources of the major parties, and as such, will face a tough campaign.

-Debates will occur periodically. Each party will receive 3 general geustions, and each candidate 1 specific question.

-Independent/3rd party candidates will participate in a major town hall meeting in place of a debate (unless we have more than 1 who agrees to a debate)

-If your candidate currently  holds office, be sure to attend to your duties. You could be seen as not doing your job if not!

-Be sure to build up campaign infrastructure! Failure to do so could cost you in the primary or general elections

-You must file for each contest, unless you are from a state where the contest is being held. The only exception to the rule is President Bush, as he is the incumbent President.

-Each candidate must outline their platforms for the primary early. Rest assured, each candidate will receive a chance to influence the party platform.

-Have fun!

Current Candidates:

Democractic:

Governor Mario Cuomo of New York

Governor Jerry Brown of California

Senator Al Gore of Tennessee

Congressman Bernie Sanders of Vermont

Republicans:

Governor George Voinovich of Ohio

President George H. W. Bush

Independent:

Mr Donald Trump of New York

Mr Bill Gates of Washington

Libertarian:

Congressman Ron Paul of Texas

Soon. I want to see if we can get someone to sign up as Bush and Clinton. Voinovich could prove a tough challenger, then we have the liberalism of Cuomo, the centrism of Clinton and Brown in the middle. In other words, I want to wait until we have contested primaries. we start around the 15th. I'm recruiting potential new players now.

I can't guarantee I'll be extremely active on this, but I'd like to try. I'll play as Senator Al Gore (D). He may not be Bill Clinton, but he is a moderate!

I'm running as Bill Gates. I will run as an independent hoping to bring compromise with both parties and prevent gridlock in congress.

Okay, I'm satisfied with the amount of candidates we have as of now. I at least want to get someone as Bush. Otherwise, we close sign-ups on the 15th.

Also, i wanted to get everyone's opinion on Bush automatically being on the primary ballot in every state. I think it's fair enough, given that he's the incumbent President.

Okay, if we can't get a President Bush by midnight Australian Central Daylight Time on the 15th, I'll make up some excuse for him not running for re-election.

And we do need some more Republicans.
