Yes. White Americans have been enraged at all the National Anthem protests, and that funneled votes to Trump.

This is the most scalding take I've ever heard. And I remember all of my own terrible predictions.

I would not say it cost her the election, but it is part of the overall picture.  This is the exact kind of thing that enrages us, but we see so much disrespect for the flag and for authority nowadays.  Trump speaks to us, he gives us hope that America can be as great as it ever was.  We're fed up with the way things have been going.

Not directly, but the effect of the heavy saturation of "race issues" has heavily burnt Democrats. It took time from more electorally lucrative issues for the Democrats like the economy.

This. I agree with what Kaepernick did, he has a right to have free speech, but it rubs the wrong way. Will he do that again this coming Sunday? At this point, the 49ers aren't doing so well. They're 1-7. Can it be because he is so focused on activism? I don't know. This is a mildly centrist electorate.

People are tired of the PC crap. Enough. White privilege exists, but don't pound it everyday to angry whites. It causes more divisions. Period. 13% of black male voters voted for Trump. They as well are fed up. Fed up. Period. The Left needs soul-searching and going more left to attract snowflake millennials who can't grasp reality won't cut it. Period. I'm still shocked that Trump won, but I'm slowly coming to grips with it.

He didn't even participate in this election. Sadly, his voice doesn't really matter. I agree with him on some things, he's a little bit more reasonable than others.

Crooked Hillary Clinton caused Crooked Hillary Clinton to lose this election. Plus, Trump outworked her.

Actually no. It was Trump's strong wish to bring Marry Christmas back that did it. Make America's Christmas a Marry One Again. Also: Make America Marry and Christmassy Again and Marry a Gay Secons Cousin.

Wow. Started out strong and then bungled with the end of this comment. Race issues hurt but what hurt even worse was the Democrat's arrogant and laughable insistence that the economy is good.

Another "random reason Hillary lost" thread...

Go on avoiding the big picture.
