She lost the presidency a second and final time. She lost in 2008 to a young Illinois senator who captured the heart of the Democratic Party. She lost the 2016 general election to a bombastic white Manhattan billionaire. Do you feel bad for her, and if not, why?

She run a horrible campaign with no message and loss despite having all the advantages in the world.

No, I have nothing but contempt for the Clintons, and I say that as someone who not only voted for Hillary but contributed to her campaign.

She won the popular vote. I feel at least a bit sorry for her. Not that great of a candidate, but the Dem bench was already getting thin. I do wish that Gillibrand had ran instead of Clinton.

absolutely, since i see her as the personification of a technocratic "let's get things done" politican and someone who tried her best to prevent the disenfranchisement of the american dream.

well - never get too emotional, politics are politics.

No.

I just remember how during the primaries she said she is going to be tough on the Wall Street, how she attacked Bernie, all establishment coming for her, black caucus coming to her defences in SC, all these former governors, media pundits, Paul Krugman and others. Man, i could go like this till morning.

Yes.

Albeit in the same way one pities Richard Nixon for getting kicked around so much.  Really, I'm surprised she didn't take the "last press conference" words verbatim.

Yes.

Only because well she was very qualified and could've been the first female president. Yet a bigoted natured man who has committed sexual assault beat her.

I shed a few tears despite my bitterness; so yes, in a way. Especially after reading an article about how she carriers her bible everywhere and underlines it. But honestly, I don't want to humanize her right now cause it's harder to accept; if I feel like she's a good person it just makes me more depressed so it's easier to jump on the crooked Hillary bandwagon and blame her rather than bigoted Americans.

True. She & her supporters are the reason we have Trump. Any sensible Democrat would have beaten Trump IMO.

The damage Hillary has done is unreal. I hated her concession speech. It looks like she is so power hungry she may run again in 2020 & cost Dems the election again. She deserved every bit of it.

She ran the MOST negative campaign & utilized everyone from the father of dead soldier to XYZ. Hundreds of Millions of $ in negative ads. It is time that she retires from politics from good!

Hell no. She brought everything that lead to her failure onto herself by making stupid decisions that put secrecy over transparency. She deserved what she got from Comey and Wikileaks.

She also didn't learn from the Romney 47% comment and ran a campaign that maligned and made fun of those that ultimately rejected her at the ballot box.

Yes. To work in public service your whole life and rise to the occasion and be on the very brink of making history to have it taken away by some guy who just thought it'd be fun to try one morning. Anyone see Election? Poor Tracy Flick.

getting played by a system planned to help against populists, while winning the PV by 2-3 points, is the most humiliating defeat in US history?

Perhaps, and yet it's the only way I can cope with it all. Sorry Hillary.

She was taken down by the most ruthless smear campaign I've ever witnessed, and most likely ever will witness.  She has her flaws as a person, politician, and a candidate, but in the end, I really think she is good at her core, and would have been an effective president.  She didn't deserve the hatred so many people felt for her.
