The Clintons have hundreds of millions of dollars. She'll be fine.

She was taken down by the most ruthless smear campaign I've ever witnessed, and most likely ever will witness.  She has her flaws as a person, politician, and a candidate, but in the end, I really think she is good at her core, and would have been an effective president.  She didn't deserve the hatred so many people felt for her.

Regardless of what you think about her policies or her so-called "scandals," I can guarantee Hillary Clinton is a fundamentally kind and caring person, and the kind of person whom I aspire to be in many ways. So, yes, I feel bad for her.

Only a little.

If you act like a scarecrow to the white-working class and call them a basket of deplorables you should not wonder if they defeat you.

It was the ultimate revenge on Hillary and she fully deserved it.

Still, the alternative now is Donald Trump - which is idiotic.

The Hillary bubble-ists should have gone with Bernie, who would have kept the rustbelt and great lakes region in his column and who would also have won CO and VA and the Presidency.

Yeah, she was viciously attacked even worse than John Kerry was. The criminal rhetoric was deeply disturbing. I do feel bad for her.

With that said, the Clintons need to exit politics. New blood is badly needed. I supported Hillary in the primary over Sanders this time but I will not support the "establishment" one next time.

She blew it.  In a way, yes, but no.  If that makes any sense.

I feel bad for Hillary the person, because this campaign got way too personal, but as far as Hillary the politician, not at all because she made some fatal mistakes in her campaign, one of which (which I did point out a month or so ago) getting too overconfident that a win was inevitable and skipping the upper Midwest when Trump was so heavily campaigning there.

Slightly at best.

It was her race to lose from day one. She screwed this up and we're left with the mess.

I only wish the price of Clintonism being dead wouldn't be so high.

No...not until her concession speech. She never seemed more human, genuine, humble and dare I say presidential than in that moment. She even had the best outfit of her whole campaign. Too bad for her, she didn't show this side for herself earlier.  I did feel a little bad for her.

But I still think she has deep character flaws that would've scared me with her in the WH.

Not that much, she lost to the guy from The Apprentice. She is a joke. A tremendous failure.

Yes. To work in public service your whole life and rise to the occasion and be on the very brink of making history to have it taken away by some guy who just thought it'd be fun to try one morning. Anyone see Election? Poor Tracy Flick.

That's democracy for you. Nobody deserves or has earned the right to be president, chancellor or anything else.

Clinton really had no message at all. Which makes it quite obvious that she did not run to improve the country for the better (unlike Obama or Sanders for example) but because the office of the presidency was just something she had always sought to obtain.

No. I feel bad for the rest of us. Lots of people who don't deserve it are going to get hurt by the policies and appointments of the new regime.

Yes I do - I mean, it's clear that it's been one of her long term aims in life to become President, and for someone to have a dream like that crushed when they had thought (which I can only imagine she did, given the relative strength of her campaign versus Trump's and her poll numbers) that they were finally on the cusp of victory is a sorry sight.

I might get some pity if she gets the Elena Ceaușescu treatment. Otherwise no.

To me, the fact that Hillary Clinton was unable to speak on election night and had to wait until the next day says that this 'robotic' woman couldn't compose herself to appear in public. I don't blame her, as much as I hate this excuse, it was her turn. She put in her dues and spent most of the 21st century so far trying to do one thing, and she lost to Donald Trump. When you think about how she must have felt, seeing the firewall crack and bleed red, you can't help but feel sorry for her.
