How would the voter population redistribute?

Democrat (37%)
Republican (37%)
Independent (26%)
Constitution (0%)
Green (0%)
Libertarian (0%)
Reform (0%)
Prohibition (0%)
Socialist USA (0%)
Socialist Workers (0%)
Workers World (0%)

Would any state parties such as the Independence Party of Minnesota, the Conservative Party of New York, or the Progressive Party of Vermont rise to take the state?  Would any new parties be formed?

I imagine the Greens would rise to fill the void left by the Democrats; likewise the Constitution Party would absorb most former Republicans. This wouldn't last long; moderates would be alienated by the extremes of left and right, which leads to the rise of a powerful centrist party.

This, too, would eventually collapse due to the vast range of opinions it represents (the platform is nothing but vague statements on unity); eventually, there are two major parties once again, representing left and right.

Libertarians would be the moderates and undecided.  Supposedly if our ideology is left-social, right-economic, it would be a fine mix for undecided.

It's more likely that the parties would regroup into parties that are mainly strong on one issue. Eventually they will develop into strong parties and thus we have parties like the GOP.

Green (24%)
Constitution (18%)
Libertarian (13%)
Reform (3%)
Socialist Workers (1%)
Prohibition (0%)
Socialist USA (0%)
Workers World (0%)

I think that adds up to 100...not sure which Socialist party is the strongerst though.

Socialist Workers is communist with a political base, Workers World is communist with a militant base, and Socialist USA is just plain democratic socialism.

Follow-up question, how would all our GOP/Dem Senators follow?

Would any state parties such as the Independence Party of Minnesota

The IP would flourish.  Maybe they'd be the beginnings of a national centrist party?

I'd like to see a multiparty America.

Same here but it wont happen unless we either A) do away with First Past the Post Voting or add a run-off B) become a parliamentary system or C) get Proportional Representation in either one or both houses of Congress. Otherwise it would be very hard for America to evolve into a semi-three party state, like Britain, and near impossible to have a viable three party system or multi-party system.

In a non-parliamentary FPTP system a centrist party wouldn't work even if they were a coherent enough organization. They would constantly be pulled on either side by the large right and the left.
