I'm sure a lot of people will say Biden or Bernie, but I seriously doubt either of them will run. Warren seems like a very, very long shot.

Personally, I think a Sherrod Brown/Tulsi Gabbard ticket hits all the right points - liberal, but sensible. Populist, but not foaming-at-the-mouth or demagogues. It would help coalesce the Clinton and Bernie voters and would still give the Democrats the "first" they always want on the ticket.

Whoever it will be must be young, experienced, and already have a big voting base.

As of this moment, Warren is the only candidate with enough widespread appeal to unite the entire party + sympathetic independents. She's basically in an RFK position.

2016 was Warren's year, if she wanted to run she would have done it now. I don't think she'll do it in 2020.

I like Kamala or Booker the most.

I think Gabbard would be a formidable candidate and the right person to break that glass ceiling. Hopefully she chooses someone like Sherrod Brown to be veep.

I was campaigning in Nevada and we delivered with our organizing which was incredible being my first campaign. After what I saw and listening to people I would say a Tulsi Gabbard/Tom Perez ticket would hit all the check-marks you're looking for. I think coalitions in the Democratic Party should really look into her, she broke from the DNC, she's outspoken and endorsed Bernie Sanders, she's a Major in Hawaii Army National Guard. If Trump fails, or once he breaks his promises, they'll be right for the picking. She would be the first non-Christian presidential nominee too if I'm not mistaken. I really think the Democrats should look at the Arizona, Nevada & Texas senate seats in 2018, I think they'll actually be up for grabs. Especially if Trump goes for the throat with Immigration Reform.

Tulsi Gabbard is an Islamophobic, Putin-sympathizing, opportunistic piece of work. The attention she's been getting from some of the Bernie contingent recently is disgraceful (I say that as someone that voted for Sanders).

It's hard one. Biden, Sanders and Warren would all be too old.

I always liked Kaine very much, but it's obvious he's not a presidential nominee material.

I'd love Feingold, but he's done after two consecutive defeats.

I don't think Warren would be too old as long as she manages to be as spry as Bernie (of course who knows if that'll be the case). Plus she'd likely be facing a 74-year old Donald Trump.

Assuming Trump is still President by 2020.

If Trump's not president I think the criteria needs to change for who the Democratic candidate should be. Pence or Sasse running as the Republican nominee creates a totally different dynamic to Trump running. In my opinion, taking on Trump requires a foil.

Some back of the woods populist with left-wing rhetoric, and more appeal to poor whites and working class. Perceived to be a friend of the common man and not elitist and anti-rural. More moderate, rhetorically on social issues, though basically the same but disavows identity politics, into a much more class-based politics, and shys away from BLM to a message of social unity, and equality between all, less focused on protecting illegals and more about stopping illegal immigration but supporting immigration reform, and more understanding of the concerns of immigration, while valuing immigrants contributions to society.

I thought Booker was seen as a black Andrew Cuomo?

The establishment could end up getting behind Warren out of pragmatism (lol).

I've never seen anything concrete (because I haven't looked) but lots of progressives sneer at his connections to big business that he built up as Mayor, and point to his defense of Bain back in 2012 as a sign of this,

I think he's a lightweight tbh

Who ever our nominee is, they can't be taking anything for granted, can't have any of the taints that kept Clinton as an unacceptable option to many, and can't be a panderer to the powers that seek to undermine the democratic coalition. Find me a candidate like this, and you will have the next president.
