...or this forum is surprisingly restrained after the election?

Maybe because it was down all election night and some time beyond and people somewhat calmed down.

I have the impression half the posters remain shell-shocked, and that may be the case for some time.

IRC was very emotional on the election night.

I'm not enjoying gloating, because all of the people I want to gloat too are not showing their faces.

I stayed the hell away.

I'd be concerned about two or three people who probably believed too much in Hillary, but I'm confident the shock will pass and the wounds will heal. Most of them will return fairly soon (I hope!)

I shouldn't laugh.

That is because they are still busy deleting all their replies over the last 3 months concerning the celebratory threads and how Hillary had it in the bag.

A few that I haven't seen include Joe Republic, Gustaf, and px.  Granted, the first two at least weren't posting every day before the election, so it's not a huge surprise to see them gone for a day or two.

I bet px will be back in some time to flood every board with his diatribes on how Bernie Bros' conspiracy stole the election from Hillary.

Instead you're gloating to people like me... who think you're being a total piece of sh**t.  Enjoy it while it lasts.

Ice Spear is to the Presidential Election what Dudeabides was to the Republican Primary. They're so psychotically in favor of their terrible candidate that their heads must have exploded on election night. We could do with fewer boot-licking hacks around here.

I think people who are still reeling are probably taking some time away from this forum. I stayed off this forum while I was very upset, but it did take less time for me to accept the outcome than I thought it would. Maybe it's because some of us immediately started thinking about how to move forward, and that's how we managed to cope with what happened.
