There IS no leftist block. I vote for a leader of a small country. Forumnites from the left, center and right have previously and hopefully will continue to vote for those no-names, to make it more interesting at the end.

It is the RIGHT block that is the problem, voting for big-name left wingers.

As I presume you know, I didn't support voting out ppl like Bush, and I created the KIIC. That seems not to be working all that well, but we are having some successes. It is important to keep interesting people from the left AND the right in the contest, Gus; I don't want some guy from Slovakia against another from Jamaica. Whether they're right or left wing.
