I think that the Democrats are currently doing yet another bad mistake- continuing the inheritence of Congress leadership by seniority, giving Chuck Schumer the Senate Minority Leadership and probably reappointing Nancy Pelosi as House Minority Leader, instead of appointing fresh, relatively young and competent faces to energize the base. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi will NOT energize the base.

It's time to stop doing this. In my opinion, it only seems to strengthen the Democratic Party's image as the party of elitistic politicians passing the leadership between each other.
The Republicans seemed to have understood that, appointing a young and popular leader as the House Speaker. But the Democrats seem intent on continuing at all costs.

Do you think they're doing a mistake? And if they do, who should they appoint as the Congress Leadership to energize the base?
