I think that if the Democrats want to nominate someone with no elected experience, an interesting unorthodox choice could be the Reverend William Barber, the leader of Moral Mondays in North Carolina. Progressive, black, charismatic, no ties to the Clintons, religious, from a swing state, and a blank slate in terms of elected experience.
