Germany is fantastic, but Bavaria is by far the best

I said Siam in another thread, and people flipped out. I hope no panics because you said Prussia.

For me, Sachsen-Anhalt.

I've talked to a few Americans who've been to Germany and most say Bavaria is the Texas of Germany. So, no thanks.

I guess, the one with Blautopf if a gun was pointed at my head, since I had a Swabian penpal at one point, and I had a professor from Stuttgart.

I wish I hadn't picked a Saxony now.

EDIT: Yeah, count me for the first option.

I was confused, not upset. Your response to my confusion confused me even more.

Anyway, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (normal).

Rheinland-Pfalz, I guess. I've stayed near Mainz for a couple days and it was really nice.

My German ancestors came from the Trier area, so Rhineland-Palatinate it is.

Mine came from slightly east of that...Worms and Darmstadt area, but same vote for the same reasons.  Not sure where in Germany my paternal side is on....some guy named Hugh VeryGermanlastname showed up in TN in the 1840s and his son (my paternal great grandfather) married a German woman from Worms, and I can trace her back a few more generations to a Michael Daum (or Damm or a couple others) in Darmstadt in the 1770s (give or take a decade).

Up until last year I had only visited Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Last year I added Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate

I voted Baden-Württemberg

Just got back after spending 5 years in Germany (federal employee) in Heidelberg, then transferred to Wiesbaden when they shut HD down.   Loved Baden-Württemberg much more than Hesse.

I loved Bremen.  My favorite city in Germany is Bremerhaven.

I say Prussia, as most of my ancestors are from there or Scotland. Heck, one of them fought under Frederick the Great.
