(between you and me) what ideology does he follow?  Is he really an independent?  Where does he stand?

I really have no idea, and I think that that's just the way he likes it.

Are you guessing here or do you know?  All I've seen, honestly, is the quote where he said he voted for Whigs.

I heard him on a radio show once, all I remember was that he is NOT a fan of being taxed a lot. Rockefeller Republican, methinks.

Runs a fantastic web site though Tongue

As for my voting history, I'm really an independent and look at the strenghts of individual candidates (especially since my political ideology spans many parties, depending on the issue) -> in the 2002 election here in Massachusetts, I voted for 2 Democrats, 1 republican, 1 Libertarian, 1 independent, and 1 Whig (strange as it may seem).  I will also be voting in the democratic primary (as "unenrolled" voters - the MA equivalent of "independent" - are able to cast their ballots in any primary).

More data:  I'm not originally from MA.  I grew up in a rural-suburban portion of Onondaga County, NY.

In 2002, Kerry had no Republican opponent (Michael Cloud was a Libertarian and he received 19% of the vote).  I was also here when Weld recieved 45% to Kerry's 52%.

However, I do live in a town that voted 73% for Gore...

A loooooong time ago I dimly recall him saying that he liked Tim Penny (former democratic congressman (best know for being a deficit hawk IIRC), 2002 Independence Party candidate in MN Gubernatorial election).

When was the last time we heard from Dave?

I do recall a time, a very long time ago, before there was even an Atlasia Fantasy board of any real kind and when we talked about the Gubernatorial races in Kentucky and Mississippi, there where few of us back then, the midterms where behind us and the presidential election along way off… but in that dim and distant past the voice of Dave was sometimes heard Smiley

(between you and me) what ideology does he follow?  Is he really an independent?  Where does he stand?

I'm pretty sure he's a very hardcore conservative like the guy who puts Rick Sanitorium in his sig.

I love when people call me a hardcore conservative and can't back it up.

To be fair, by bandit's standards Hillary Clinton is conservative.

Very true. In bandit's case, I guess I am beyond far right wing (if there is such a standing)...

A loooooong time ago pretty much everyone then a forum member (not that there was many then) did a online test thingy matching issue positions of the different Presidential candidates with there own views. Anyhoo, unusually Dave did it and while he didn't say what he got, he did say that a load of candidates (forget which but IIRC it was most of them) were within a few %'s of each other or summet.

By most people's standards Hillary Clinton is conservative. Most people don't go around writing books in which they advocate school uniforms or support the government censoring video games.

You'd make a good lawyer, as your statement was correct, but entirely useless and completely irrelevant to what my question was actually asking.
