Picking Bannon should solidify it for anyone on the fence. If that doesn't do it I don't think anything will.

Yes, I voted for him. I still have strong concerns about some of his policies but generally am happy with my vote.
i'm genuinely disappointed in you.

Trump won like 7% of Democrats, LOL.  There aren't any Trump Democrats.

Anyway, he's my President, so I obviously want him to succeed and not do any of the dumb shlt he promised he would.  If he succeeds, we succeed, as Obama said.

I probably would have opposed Teddy Roosevelt as the Republican standard-bearer, but that would not have made me become a Democrat overnight.  I similarly will always remain a Republican and fight for the party to be what I want it to be the same way Chairman Sanchez does, not sure why that blows so many people's minds.

Well, I never really liked Trump, with his penchant for stupid remarks and his ostentatious, gauche lifestyle. I mean, in my heart of hearts I wanted John Kasich to be the Republican nominee, because he would certainly have rolled right over Hillary, but I knew that was unlikely and so I gravitated to Trump, in part because he was winning and in part because I did like the way he (insincerely or not) took a large axe to a number of the left's shibboleths. Frankly I also liked the way he made the media and all those academics and other professional prognosticators feel uncomfortable. But, yeah, I don't really like him and I don't really trust him, but ultimately he was the only person capable of defeating the candidate of the left in this election, and as such has put the party of the right back in charge of the country, so I'll give him credit for that.

Also, I tentatively hope that Trump in the White House might make leaving the European Union a bit easier, and whilst my hopes aren't particularly high there, I can't see how having Hillary Clinton in the White House would have benefited us more in that regard.

The exit poll says 9%, which is at least higher than what Romney got in 2012.  At the same time, Trump's share of the Republican was down a bit from Romney's share in 2012.  So yes, it looks like there was a bit more crossover voting than normal.

Actually 26%.  Tongue

Yeah, Trump didn't really win very many crossover votes by historical standards.  Just more than Romney did.

Don't trust the flawed exit polls. Trump won more Democrats, or else he wouldn't have won the election.

Ljube, I know you're a very ... uh ... "simple" poster (let's say a man of few words, as I'm feeling nicer lately now that this shltstain of an election is over), but holy hell dude, have you ever heard of voter turnout?  Exit polls may not be perfect, but they are more perfect than, well ... Ljube's internet analysis.

Republican/Independent here.

I will give Trump a hopeful chance, but if he screws up that chance, I will vote against him in 2020.

We should give Trump a chance.

A chance to resign before we impeach him.

Never means never.

I used to be republican, but switched to libertarian before Trump ran. Do I count as a "renegade republican"?
